This is the second to last high priced Mercury dimes excluding errors. The 1927 (S) Mercury Dime in certified MS-63 condition should yield you about $550 at auction. This coin isn’t particularly special. There were over 30+ million dimes produced this year. With this dime getting closer to 100 years old, it could potentially go up in value. Over time coins are lost and/or damaged reducing the available supply to high end collectors. That’s the only justification I can come up with to show why all dimes after 1928 drop in value, with many costing less than $30 for uncirculated coins in MS-63 condition.
